Canoga Camera is running a 5% off Gitzo tripod sale (external link) (I guess it's on-going, they just bump up the expiration date) and there is also a $40 off Gitzo tripods (external link) from the manufacturer.

In the fine print of the rebate it says "Offer valid for US residents only and can not be combined with any other promotional offers, ...". Is a coupon a promotional offer?

Anyone have success stacking the two?

Why not just give them a call. The link you gave just shows the $40 off. I like Canoga Camera, the only downside is having to pay almost 10% in CA sales tax.

Call who? Canoga? The rebate isn't through them.

And the only number that's on the Gitzo rebate form is to call to inquire about the "status of your claim". I'll try to call them after work and see if I can get a live person

Tried it and it failed.

The number leads to a rebate center, where they needed to find the specific rebate I was talking about and just read the terms back to me "Offer valid for US residents only and can not be combined with any other promotional offers, ...". The CSR told me that they're not sure if a discount on the sellers site (Canoga) is considered a promotional offer or if they're referring to just additional programs offered by the manufacturer (Gitzo).

If Canoga is just offering 5% off the selling price then it shouldn't have any effect on the mail in rebate. Mfg. rebates don't care what price you pay for the item, only that it is from an authorized dealer.

Thanks, that's what I was thinking/hoping for too...

I may have to buy it and update here later
