Hi,

I took these photos while on vacation last month in Nashville, and I can't figure out what kind of tree it is... The tree was in bloom the first part of April, and was a sea of pink. Here are the only photos I have - can someone help me?

If you are in Japan...or near a japanese garden...it could potentially be one of the famous cherry blossom trees.

I think you're right! I looked up some closeup images and the flowers look exactly the same. Now the only question is why the Okahoma State Tree is all over western Nashville... ;)

There is a town by the name of Redbud on the west side of Illinois next to the Mississippi and in the spring it is apparent why they named the town.

Well, in any case - it is a lovely tree. And irispatch - I'd love to have one in my yard! but I'm thinking the weather in northern BC won't be very nice to an Oklahoma Redbud...
