Nice shots. I prayed everyday that an Osprey wouldn't land on the ship I was on. Luckily none came. Those things scare me. LOL Cool idea on paper though. :)

What an unusuall plane. I'd love to see something like this at the Air show down here. Hell I'd settle with a A-10.

Great shot of the f-18.
I agree that the opsrey works well on paper, but not in a less than ideal world.

Great shots of both airplanes. I'm not sure if I would want to fly the opsrey as it appears unstable to me. Quite a few have crashed in the past. As someone said, "looks good on paper".

The V-22 has been redisigned since the infamous crashes of the past. I have personally seen several takeoffs and landings without incident.

The concept is there, high speed, vertical take off, huge load etc.

For a vehicle that will see its way into combat, its certainly a delicate one. Loose an engine your hooped.
Loose electric/hydraulic control over the tilt mechanism, your hooped.
Loose the computer/electrical systems running it and your hooped.
It is an inherently unstable design that has taken about 40 years to get a version that doesn't bank over all the time.

I think that its an interesting design don't get me wrong, but its not something that I would want to be riding in...
