Brad...these are beautiful shots, it would be wonderful to have more varieties of hummers instead of just having one kind.

I had one just like #2 fly into my Jeep yesterday. And, sure, I had the 400mm mounted - so, just had to roll down the other window and let it go on its way.

Great shots!

The Anna's, Costa's, and Black-chinned have been around here for a while. Still waiting for the Rufous. I don't have any real good shots of those.

Thanks everyone, it is appreciated. The Anna's is year-round resident on the Washington State Capitol campus, my workplace. Watching that little guy through the fall and winter and just wonder how the heck he makes through with so little in bloom. But he does it.

The Rufous was first in my yard in early Feb. but a couple took up residence in early April here in SW Washington. Have one known nest in a Fir in the yard and believe to have a second in a couple Cedars just can't find it.

ps: no flash was used, all natural light.

These are all beautiful images. I'm still waiting for the black-chins to show up at my feeder.
