Here is a shot that I took Saturday at a fire in our town. I have not shared many pictures here so I thought I would try.

Indeed a true hero, Jay. You captured the story wonderfully. I'm curious, though, how the picture would look in color. Great Job!

Really nice capture. Nothing to do with the picture itself, but I find the black border distracting. Good job.

Outstanding !! Now do me a favor, Check out other pics of that day, locate the Engine / Station where this man is at, and give him an 8x10 print of his own photo !! He will appreciate it more than you'll ever know :)

Did I say it was a great photo ?

I actually graduated High School with his wife, she came by and seen it and we have her an 11X14 ordered already...lol I have more people calling me from seeing the pictures that I posted from that day, straight out of camera and they are wanting to order pictures of their husbands, and fathers. And the local Fire Station wants to hang prints up in their office, so I have told them I would donate 6 wall images to them!

The last one is good, but I feel it would be better if we could see a little more of his face.

Yeah I think it might be better that way as well, but I was shooting what I could get! This was my first real attempt at anything besides shooting portraits for clients. So the photo-journalistic approach is new to me. Thanks everyone
