not sure if this has been mentioned, but there's a $500 instant rebate on the 5Dmk2 in Canada right now - brings the best price (@ The Camera Store) to $2399 before taxes.

you can't beat that with a stick.

Noticed that this morning as well, looks like they are adding 500 bucks on top of the Canon 100 instant rebate, checked all the other canadian realtors they all have this added to their prices, Yeah that is cheap( er) though. Still expensive but not as bad :)

If you're keen to also have the 24-105L lens, Broadway Camera in Vancouver is offering the kit for $3,299.

I've been holding off for a 5D MK3 ... but this is damned tempting!

It almost looks like the stores are starting to flush MKII stock in anticipation of a homerun MKIII. HHhhhmmmmmm....;)

Yeah maybe something is in the works, and I just bought a grip for it. Today, I went to pick up my grip for the 5D mark 2 and the guy said to me if you know anybody looking for a 5d mark 2 that he would do it for 2550.00 taxes in. He would also do via credit card. I just bought my grip for 355.00 tax in but cash. I am here in Toronto so PM me if you want a 5dmark 2 and if you live here in Toronto.

Maybe, there is something brewing with Canon.
