Some shots from last night's playoff baseball game. Another game on Thursday.
All shot with the 20d, Sigma 70-200mm 2.8 iso 400-800.
Let me know what you think.

Jun 03, 2010 05:08 | #8 Yeah, they are playing double elimination at that. It is June and in the northeast of the US, playoffs are in June because then you have all-stars that run through end of June and July and sometimes August and tournament teams and what not.

drew Senior Member More info | Jun 04, 2010 10:05 | #13 I'm insanely jealous of you -- you're either closer to the batters than I am or cropping more heavy than I am. Also, you guys don't have to use face masks, all the batters in the LL Major's in our division or whatever do. Terrible shots of the kids' faces because of this. 7D | EOS M | Sigma 30mm f/1.4 | Canon 70-200mm f/4L IS USM | Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM | Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM | flickr

Jun 04, 2010 10:30 | #14 I have field access and usually stand by 1st base or 3rd base. Mostly by first as most kids are righties. And I can get most plays in the field this way. I can't get too many outfield shots because most plays are in the infield and my glass is not long enough and I don't have 2 bodies. Maybe after the season if I sell enough I can get a new body and designate the 20d as backup.

drew Senior Member More info | Jun 04, 2010 10:46 | #15 I was at a field last night where I essentially had field access -- within a limit... the field has no fences about 10 ft past first base. I was standing RIGHT there and had a foot 6" or so inside the playing field. Made getting shots SO much nicer! 7D | EOS M | Sigma 30mm f/1.4 | Canon 70-200mm f/4L IS USM | Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 EX DC OS HSM | Canon EF-M 22mm f/2 STM | flickr
