It's been awhile since I started this series of performers that came out for World Hunger Year's "An Evening Of WHYs Guys." After this set I guess I better put a few "wise guys" up on POTN.

Willie Nile has been a favorite of mine since his self-titled debut back in 1980. He is also one of the most energetic performers I have ever seen...pretty much on the same level as Bruce Springsteen in delivering the good night after night after night.

As always, comments and critique are appreciated.

Solid set Tony. about the only criticism i could add is that his hand motion is a bit distracting in #6, but that's really minor.

Thank you, Tim. When he comes around your neck of the woods make a point to go to the show. You won't be disappointed photographically or musically.

I like the B&W's
Minor point: Bass player blocked in a few.

The bass player was also in a spot that had next to no light on him so I had to go with the hand I was dealt. Overall the lighting was pretty solid except for that one area of the stage. It made it very hard to balance a shot.

Thank you for your comment about the B&Ws. I appreciate it.

I had to laugh at this comment because after 30+ years of seeing him perform and interacting with him off of the stage I can't remember seeing him not wearing Doc Martins...and that includes hanging on the beach!

Thank you for the comment about the photos and the laugh.

Agree ... generally solid set ... makes me, once again, thankful for the lighting at my venue!
