Hello.

Sometimes I use Replace Color tool in Photoshop (Image-Adjustements-Replace Color). What will be the best way to feather the border of affected image area by this tool?

Thanks.

But as I understand, this slider just takes more or less similar colors than picked. For example, if you have only two colors on image, blue (0:0:255) and red (255:0:0), and pick blue one, fuzziness slider will then have no effect on affected area if you move it left/right? Always will be affected only blue area with strong boundary between colors. As you can see here, by moving fuzziness slider, afected area does not change (does not feather boundary):

What I want is to feather the selection now.

Have you tried duplicating the layer, make the changes, & then blend the two layers together? Layers & Layer Masks are powerful tools that allow you to restrict changes to only parts of the image.

Thx, of course I know how to work with layers/masks and my idea is in that direction too, but still, don't know how to feather affected area using layer/masks? It is very easy to to that in shown example with blue/red, but with real photos when selection is all but simple line... any idea?

Thx

Correct.

But the tool doesn't offer a "feather" like you want, since the selection is made on the fly, based on the color picked. All you can do to get a softer transition is alter the range of selected colors.

If you want to feather different, you have to select different. For instance using "color range", then using the selection as a layer mask.
There are of course a whole bunch of different ways to get the selection you want.

You could post an example for more specific answers.
