Viewing RAW on netbook

I recently purchased an ASUS netbook to use while traveling and act as a photo storage device. I shoot RAW on a 5D II and use Lightroom on a Mac for processing. As a result, I know little about other RAW conversion programs. I am wondering what software I should use in order to be able to view the RAW files on the netbook. I am really not interested in processing them as I doubt the machine has the power to do it, but I would like to be able to review photos at the end of the day. It needs to be relatively lightweight in order to not bog down the mini processor! I welcome all netbook software suggestions, thank you very much.

Download Picasa
http://picasa.google.com/intl/en/ (external link)
It works well to view both RAW and JPEG as well as to do quick edits. You can also convert to JPEG and upload to a blog easily.

Yes, I have a netbook and view RAW files all the time. Download the DPP. I have Picassa also, it came free.

I don't believe DPP will run on a netbook. It will refuse to run when it sees the screen is too small. At least that's the way the last version was--the current version may have corrected that.

Is it possible to install Adobe Bridge without installing the whole Adobe package? I doubt it, so it looks like Picassa is the way to go. I've never used it myself.

I use Irfanview with the Canon DLLs as plugins. All it really does is extract the embedded JPEG though, I think. A typical Netbook (1024x600) screen won't let you run DPP. On an external monitor that's at least 1024x768 you can run DPP though (hook up to a HD TV maybe?).

I get it on my 13.3, now I am going to try my 10.1. Netbook is not loading the images on the monitor. Yes, on the external. I'm trying the Irfanview now.

Yes, I downloaded Irfanview onto my netbook and the plug-ins. The CR2 files from my 5D2 are appearing just fine.
