Hi. I've got a 350D and £600 to upgrade it - would the best upgrade at the moment be to the 50D ?

Thanks

Without knowing what you shoot or what you find limiting...no.

Remember, this is a forum so we ideally need to know why you want to upgrade or what reasons there may be behind it. The tool is only as good as its owner.

What I like to photograph are portraits - adults, children and animals (outdoor); sports shots of rugby matches and landscapes. I also want to be able to take photographs indoors at functions such as charity balls, school concerts.

I'm not interested in studio work.

Given the right experience, your camera can do all of those. When I owned my 400D, it pretty much captured everything you mentioned with high end work.

Until I found how to harness it all and then find out what my limits are, I chose not to upgrade.

Limits as in what are you finding that your camera cannot do? Where are the boundaries?

What do you find about your current body that is "lacking" eg performance, af accuracy, ISO usage?
