For the first time in my time as a member here, and after many, many transactions, I've had my first bad (very bad) experience as a buyer.

I'm no whiner, but I wondered if there is a venue for negative feedback that I have missed, or if that's even allowed.

Thanks!

Post #16 in the linked thread suggests that POTN is going to implement some sort of measures to improve the transparency of transactions here, but unless I'm missing something I have yet to see anything happen.

Pekka is developing a replacement for vBulletin which will provide this. That a replacement for the current vBulletin system is under development has been repeatedly stated in the forum. However I'm sure you'd agree that it's better that it be done right than done fast.

In the mean time, what has been said by Moderators and Administrators in that thread stands. Your transaction is between buyer and seller. POTN takes no part in it. If you can demonstrate through the procedures documented in that thread (not by public "witch hunt" postings) that the other party has in some way misrepresented himself or her good faith, we will take such action as POTN can to protect other members from further such actions by that member. It is still your loss, to recover through your own resources however.

For the record, it should be obvious that "report bad apples" refers to the "Report Posts" button, since we have said repeatedly that you may not post negative feedback in the open forum.
