How to shoot a book with photographs inside?

Hello

I got the set up for shooting the book with photographs inside and im using Canon 18-55 lens for it. I did use Canon 100mm Macro, 60mm Macro, 50mm Macro and all of them come out with pretty much same results. The only lens that worked great on it were Sigma 28-90 mm Macro Aspherical Lens and i dont have them anymore. Will anyone suggest any lens that are similar to Sigma's I used?
