Just about worth getting up at 3.45 and driving to the other coast to catch this. If I'd been slightly earlier, I would have caught the fog in the valley as well but never mind :)

Keskadale, with Blencathra in the distance. From just above Newlands Hause.

Love the shot. I don't think the river glints have to go they add to the shot IMO.

Heh, had to drive from Northumberland and was expecting that classic cloud-in-the-valley-summits-clear look when I got there (which meant I needed to get climbing out of the cloud before it disappeared). It wasn't there at all, as it happens, but this shot up Keskadale sort of made it worthwhile. Got it after five minutes, though, and it was the best shot I got all day. The five hour walk that followed produced nothing of value >_<
