Hi there,
I recently got wintec 201 , and this machines does a series of logs, for your geolocation.

I have questions please. How do I put this information into a map, to map where i have travelled. What software should I use( this program comes with a software time machine X, but is there another easier to use and compatible software? ) , and what is the program i should use for this ( ? earth google? google map ? flicker?)

I am going on a back road trip, and want to map out on the map of where we have driven to share with out friends and family.

Any insight is much appreciated.

Thanks

I have the same device. I use a Mac, and cannot use any of the software the unit came with. I transfer the .gpx track file to my computer via Bluetooth using HoudahGPS (freeware).

If you transferred the .gpx track file to your computer, you can open it using Google Earth (free!). Once you open Google Earth, just ask it to open your .gpx file and the track points will be shown.

If you take your camera with you, synch the camera to gps time; and then use Gpicsync to embed the lat/long into your pictures and make a .kml file for google earth with the pictures located where you shot them PLUS your path.

Try Geosetter for an all-in-one solution.

If you'd gotten Downloader Pro + BreezeBrowser Pro, you would have an all-in-one tagging, geotagging and mapping (including linking to Google Earth) solution that's compatible with almost any current GPS. Seems your WinTec has been nothing but trouble for you.
