equipment for rename

Hi friends

I have a bunch of photos that is names numbers
DSC 001 DSC 002 DSC 003 etc

Can I ask how do I bactch rename them to something like

2009 08 08 Testing 001 , 2009 08 08 Testing 002 , etc

IS there a software to do this?

Please share with me some insight

Paint Shop Pro also has a functionality to batch rename, which allows you to insert text, date, time, number into the file name in any sequence that you like.

If you have Microsoft Windows, you should be able to highlight all the files you want to rename. Select rename, then type "2009 08 08 Testing" and hit enter. It should rename it to "2009 08 08 Testing", then the next file will be something like "2009 08 08 Testing(1)", then next file should be "2009 08 08 Testing(2)".

IrfanView has many batch utilities. Can rename and resize in 1 op. Free download. Good luck, Paul

Lightroom will let you do that.
