2filters is advertising these filters a lot. Are they any good or just more of the junk these camera stores like to sell you in a "kit"?

The B+W Kaeseman CPL scored the highest from a performance standpoint, but the Marumi gets a high mark from an economic standpoint, the best that I can tell. From pictures that I've seen in this forum that were taken with the Marumi, the filter does appear to be much cooler (imparts a blue cast). I wouldn't call it a 'junk' filter at all...just that it gets recommended due to its price point. Personally, I'd go with the B+W MRC polarizer (K or non-K version). Jun 06, 2010 18:10 | #3 That's what I was planning to do, but just wanted to know if anyone has used these filters as the good ones are pricey. Thanks for the info. As for 2filter, they also sell the Hoya HD and Pro1D circular polarizers. I own both and they are wonderful. Perhaps compare them against the others.
