It was cold, wet and miserable weather on Saturday at the Eau Claire Air Show, but the Blue Angels made it all worth it.

My 70-200 was dropped on Friday, so it wasn't functioning very well. It kept causing ERR 01 on my 40D, but with IS turned on it somewhat functioned on my 5D. So... I was forced to use my 5D at the show :(

Because of the rain, I didn't really take the camera out until the Blue Angels started, and I didn't have great seats, but here are a few of what I captured:

I did see a few other Canons with big lenses out there, I wondered if it were fellow POTN'ers.

Regards,
Scott

Oh, I did manage to capture this one with my iPhone for my "iPhone 365" project.

Update:

I'm happy to report that I just got the estimate from Canon Service Center and it's only going to cost me $177.24 to repair it (although it did cost me an additional $56.66 to ship it to them). Anyway, I was afraid it would cost quite a bit more.

Nice shots despite the conditions! The weather in Wisconsin this time of year is always a crap shoot (sometimes it's crap, sometimes you can shoot:-)). Glad to hear the gear will survive Scott.
