Hey guys...I had posted this in the "Widllife" forum and was told this might be the better area for this...although not sure this qualifies as a macro shot. This is a hand held shot using a T2i and the kit lens and cropping it heavily. Anyway what kind of insect might this be, it is about 12mm long?

Thanks guys!

I asked a coworker today who is a local bug expert and he also said it was a Horsefly.
