I'm looking for the smallest bag possible, doesn't need to be top quality, it's only for when I go on the road with the motorcycle on trips, so it's only going to be used a dozen or so times a year. I need it to fit a gripped 40D, 17-85 and the 70-300. possibly a flash but that's not a selling point. I found the tamrac travel pack 71 but don't think I can squeeze both lens's in but I liked it's size. doesn't need to be a back pack, just as small as possible to fit into the saddle bags. thanks

If you can get your hands on a discontinued Lowepro Rezo 190, it sounds perfect for you. Maybe the 180, but that might be a tight squeeze.

Or to fit better into the saddle bags, maybe the Tamrac Velocity 5768.

Just my 2 cents...

Yep, that is my thought. Try some out in person at Best Buy or similar stores. Should run about $30-40 from what I recall. Nice little bags for sure and mine had a rain fly included which I was surprised to see in a bag at that price. B&H would sell all models I am sure. Check out there website, and the Lowepro website as well.

Thanks guys. I like the looks of the lowepro. I'll look around and see if I can see one. the 180 looks OK for what I need as long as the bag will hold a gripped body. 190 looks plenty big and would only take up half a saddle bag. thanks again for the tip

Check out the Lowepro SlingShot 100AW or its bigger brother the SlingShot 200AW..

I have the 200AW which I use when I pack light..

For two lenses and an SLR, with plenty of nice little organizational pockets, take a look at the Maxpedition Jumbo Fatboy Versipack. Despite its name, it's actually not that big. :) One lens can fit in the water bottle pocket, or you can remove both lenses and fit the whole lot in the main compartment. I can fit the 7D, a 24-70 2.8 and a 70-200 f4 in there easily. The main compartment on my bab has weather sealing material that cinches over while the water bottle pocket is more exposed. I have not, however, tested out the weatherproofing. I like it because it's really easy to access the camera quickly - no zips, just a quick release clip.

There is a slightly bigger versipack that MIGHT work better for your gripped frame and big zooms.
