Tried to pic through and choose a few of the more interesting shots from the past weekend. Great rally, great fun, great drinks!

Lovin that Paul Bird can run the Kawasaki World Superbike team, and still has time to pop over to the Caribbean for a jolly...... fantastic and nice set of shots........

Nice different set, I'd love to get over for this :-)

#6.#7 could have done with maybe a slightly higher shutter speed as i can see a off putting amount of blur in #7..#6 i can see what you were doing with the pan but the amount of sharpening with the blur on the back hurst my eyes.

Pick would be the last one for me as i feel him about to have a big drift around the bend here.

Regards,
Jon.S

Hehe, it's either his third or fourth time. Can't remember right now. He insists he's going to win the rally before he stops coming!

Thanks.

Understand what you're saying about the sharpening, but with 2,000+ shots over the weekend I just ran a batch job on them so unfortunately if the majority looked better with sharpening then all got it! If anyone asks to purchase one then obviously I'd spend a bit more time on an individual image.

And yes, was a big drift. :D

Nope, sorry. Possum passed away a few years ago while doing a stage recce. The guy in car 1 is Paul Bourne, one of our local competitors.

Getting the right amount of motion blur is pretty tough. I think #6 is about right and the others look a bit too static. Good shooting.

Cheers. Most of these are taken in 90 degree corners so the corner speeds are quite slow to start with. A lot of my shots were taken at 1/180 and still not really getting a lot of motion blur, though some of the ones here are shot at 1/200 and 1/250. Only my second rally so still a long way to go. Will hopefully improve significantly by year end.
