Seeing how these are still backordered everywhere, curious what the going rate for a good SHARP copy is. I used it a few times with interior stuff on my 40d but since i upgraded to a 1.3x crop I just use my 17-40. Don't really need the 2.8 anymore, so thinking I should let it go to someone who REALLY wants it. To me, it's just been sitting on the shelf since 09.

my g/f at the time bought it for me for my bday, and i've litereally kept it as to not piss her off, but since we've broken up, and the 1.3x only lets me use 14-16 it really doesn't make sense to keep it.

What would you expect I could sell it for? thanks guys!!

Go with $600. I would. I was fortunate enough to get the last one in stock at a Fairfax store just this past weekend. I was there to buy the sigma 10-20 and I had to ask about this lens. :D

A similar thing happened to me when I bought mine in March but in my case I bought it without really thinking about it, just because the shop had just got one in, I happened to be there and I knew they were hard to find.

So I bought in haste and am now repenting at leisure because I really think I would have preferred the extra range of the 10-22 and I've only used it a few times.
I hope this doesn't happen to you!

I would say to sell it for $600+shipping fees. People would actually pay that amount for it. I would, but I JUST ordered my Sigma 10-20.

If you sell it for $600 on your local Craigslist, you don't have to worry about PayPal or shipping fees.

In my case, I had all three available that very day but truely wanted the tokina to begin with. I look at it this way; I could always sell it and I wouldn't be too far off from getting the canon or the sigma w/ filters, if I wasn't happy. But so far, I absolutely love this lens. :D
