they've been making memories for pc's laptops and flash memories for quite some time now...

never used one myself... but i've seen many laptop and pc enthusiasts use them when cost is an issue...

if you're not comfy with it, go get a brand you're comfortable with...

my apologies if i sound mean... but... at $29.90... why not just stick it in and see for yourself if it's good or not? doesn't frys have a decent return policy?

i do recall reading that the cameras save to buffer then transfer to flash cards so speed of cards was not so crucial...

as for reliability... well... i guess that's the possible issue?

well, i've had crucials, kingstons and sandisks fail on me in the past... transcend has been reliable till now whereas some will state taht crucial/kingston/sandisks is more reliable...

I only use SanDisk, just because thats what I've always used and never had any issues with them. Just bought 2 more 8GB cards for $35ea from B&H.

I'd use it. The only difference between CF manufacturers is that certain ones make more (all of them jip you at some point) cards that actually read at the advertised speed and write not too much slower.

They have a great policy

I have returned stuff there before.

I got my last CF card from costco slightly cheaper and closer

Don't try to confuse me with the facts, my mind is already made up.

Have had no issues with my PNY whatsoever. Use it confidently.

I have some older, smaller PNY cards that have worked well.
