Same here, but most of what I heard so far can be used for location stuff as well, particularly for those of use that are comfortable enough to take the provided information and add to it as needed. I was actually hoping he would discuss location stuff more, too. Maybe they will have someone teach on on just location stuff eventually!

Majority of his OneLight DVD is about on location, you may want to look into it. If I remember correctly, only 2 or 3 shoots are done in studio, the rest are on location with portable lights.

it was half and half from what i remember. each model/band had a studio shoot, then on location afterwards.

Totally love the simplicity of his workshops and looking at the countdown for session 2.
This will start @ 19.00 local time so i guess i won't be able to see the whole show without falling a sleep :P

Simplicity is right! Just straight forward and to the point. Really helps in understanding material.

Very informative learned a ton. I pre-ordered it and I am still watching it via PS3. It lags a little, but it much better on my 56" DLP vs my laptop.

lol-- to be honest, i was recording the stream through quicktime (so i didn't have to pay for it, since i'm pretty much a broke college student, and because i didn't know what to expect)

but since the workshop was so good and informative-- even through just the 2nd day, i ended up paying for it. well worth the money. :)

plus we use almost the same exact gear, so that made it even better. hahaha!

Well
if you are using the same exact gear you shouldn't be broke I think.
or maybe you have some credit card debt For buying gear , there fore you are broke?:D

Well you shouldn´t do it because it would be a copyright violation. You can´t ask for others to respect the copyright that protect your photos and not respect others copyrights. The copyright holders specifically prohibit saving the video to your computer.

I've just pre-ordered the creativeLIVE course downloads.
Does anyone know when day 1 is going to be uploaded?

Hmmm...I've received an email which says:

"Rough videos from Day 1 are already available for download. We'll have Day 2 up shortly. When you purchase, we will send you links to the video download pages as videos become available."

The thing is >>> they haven't sent me the link to the download page yet.

Have yet to receive any download link. I will still continue watching the live show. Can't wait to see what today brings.

I'm a big fan of Zack but I have to say that the process he's using to compare modifiers makes no sense. Nothing is consistent. Placement, angle, subject to modifier distance and aperture are changing. With all those changes there's no way to make a comparison or draw conclusions.
It makes no sense at all.
