Lately I've been changing my bag collection around and have been primarily trying Think Tank and Tenba bags. By next week I will have five Think Tank bags (holster, UD30, UD40, UD60, R20, and looking for a large travel bag or roller). I have way too many gear bags for their limited use but it seems like every use requires a different type of bag. Small shoulder bag, large laptop bag, air travel case, long lens case, one that goes with my white alligator skin shoes ( kidding), backpacking bag........ Its kinda hard to justify the purchases in my wifes eyes but photo bags are not created equal. How many bags do you have?

3 for different uses. Lowepro exchange messenger for my 1 camera 3 lenses bag, or as a lens carrier with me slinging a camera and lens. Think Tank Shapeshifter backpack for when I'm shooting events with two cameras and two lenses with a flash + macbook, Think Tank Airport TakeOff when I needa bring it all.

I remember seeing a photo of someone here hanging their domkes on a rack of some sort...

Thats exactly what made me think about the topic. I thought I had a lot of bags. When my wife questioned the expense I pointed out just one of her purses costs twice that of all of my gear bags, briefcases, etc.

I think one of the mods, I believe Jon is his name, has a small stockpile of Domke Bags.

I do have several. Not sure how many, actually. There are a few not in the picture.

I think Jon wins ... hands down!
In fact, I showed Jon's "bag closet" to my wife, she was quite impressed...
She said something like "at least his is organized and not laying all over the house"!

There is another thread here somewhere addressing this issue...
I had posted this list at that time:

In my defense, I have sold a few to others,
but I also got a Retrospective 10 and 20, and a Pelican,
so it is probably a moot point....

OK ... just for fun ...

PLEASE don't let my wife see this list!:rolleyes:
She will never let me get that Pelican I am looking at... :(

Oh, I didn't even include the bags for the accessories I have. I have several laptops as well with many different bags to bring those along. I guess the 16 are just the camera bags I actually use and not just store stuff in. If I counted for real, it would be around 30+ , I love bags.

And Jon, stop showing off! ;) I don't know anyone who is as organized that way as you are. My bags are all over the place.

Ohhhhhh .... laptop bags too? ... ;)

Yeah, I probably have only actually USED about 5 or 6 of my bags. I probably ought to "let go" and sell a bunch of the others.
However, the true sign of a "bagaholic" is the bags they have ... but have never used! :p:cool:

was just about to ask if there was something wrong with me as well!?

there really is a bag for every occasion and my wife doesn't think so.

i've had/tried:
Tamrac Express 6
Tamrac Express 7
Tamrac Velocity 10x

currently have:
Lowepro Toploader Pro 75 = one gripped body + flash
Crumpler 7MDH = two bodies + flash
Tamrac Pro 8 = i don't know what this is for ... it looks gigantic but can't pack in too much
Lowepro Primus = one body + flash + jackets for travel

want to have a bag for short distance walking/malling:
Tenba Shootout Medium Sling = one gripped body + others
or
Lowepro Flipside 400 = safe for the gears
or
Thinktank Streetwalker Pro = looks better than the flipside but isn't as safe.

am also looking for a bag that can fit a non-gripped body + flash that's smaller than my lowepro toploader pro 75.
