I do have several. Not sure how many, actually. There are a few not in the picture.

Forget the bags, you have more carabiners than Ed Viesturs.

BTW, I'd bet you have a couple of the new TT Retrospectives hidden in the closet.

Jon's the reason I have so many bags. I'll never catch up to him.

And Jon, stop showing off! ;) I don't know anyone who is as organized that way as you are. My bags are all over the place.

If mine were all over the place either one of the dogs would adopt one as a sleeping place or Ann would pitch the strays.

Well, I keep mini 'biners on all the bags for clipping odd bits to. But you'd lose that bet. All you see there (and all I have in the way of bags) are Domkes (including a few Katas with the Domke label on them). I do have a few Tamrac pouches for phones or P&S cameras, but that's about it.

I need a new bag, if I came to your place and snatched one of yours would you know? ( joking of course )

Yep. They're all Lojack protected :{)#

I think Jon has the best collection of caribiners I have ever seen as well...:rolleyes:;)

Mini-biners are the most indispensable non-photo gear you can have short of a Swiss Army Knife (and that is always in my pocket except when it's in checked baggage).

I tend to sell what I don't use so I am down to 4. ranging from small to large: Thinktank UD 20, Domke F-5xc, Retro 10 and Thinktank Airport ultralight. I have probably owned 15 or so that past few years but I am very happy with my selection of bags. I have some modular accessories and the UD 20 can be used with a belt so in time I may ad a speed belt and holster at some point.

Wait until your gear collection grows...you'll be acquiring bags left and right everytime you get a new lens or a new body, eventually you will start recycling those other bags because you realize you don't always have to take the entire kit with you everywhere you go.

At least that's how I ended up with seven bags (four shoulder, three backpack)...the last time I went on vacation I took everything in a backpack but I also took one of my smaller shoulder bags for those times when I don't need my long lenses.

You'll get there, right along with the rest of us!

I like having choices. Depending on what i am shooting and where, I take the best bag for the job. Sometimes I need my laptop, or I'm going on an airplane. It's all about the gear and which bag is best. My most used bag is the Domke F-802. It carries 2 camera bodies with lenses attached and a flash. The pockets fit everything from my purse that I need with me, so I only need to take that bag and not a purse also.

Question about Tripod Bag
Maybe this is the wrong thread but could not find the right one. I have a Manfrotta 055CXPRO3 tripod and 498RC2 Head. What would be a good bag to use for the tripod. i am looking for something with padding which can be slung over shoulder for carrying

The bazoka from thinktank is a nice tripod bag. i have the exact same tripod and ball head and it works great. Very well padded.

As to my bag collection, I narrowed it way down finally just 3 bags now. 4 if you count my backpack that sits home.

UD 20 for very small set up or as an accessory bag
Domke F-5XC - great for discrete photography with easy access to hold just enough gear
Retrospective 10 - my big bag ( a few accessory pouches that attach for more
TT airport ultralight backpack ( never gets used but it holds most all my gear )

I may ad a digital holster and belt
