I just love shooting film. It slows me down and my decisions are more deliberate. I just processed a roll of Acros 100 (120) and it's now drying. Can't wait to get it on the light table and then scan a few that look good. I'm off to Belgium next week and I'm taking my Fuji GA645i medium format rangefinder and several rolls of Ektar, 400H and Acros, maybe even a couple of rolls of precious Neopan 400 and Velvia. Should be a good time.

Oh the anticipation.... I'd like to see them too.

Tony,, I'd love to see your results.. Any chance of posting a shot or two??

Here's a quick edit of a scan with a 100% crop. My usual adjustments are levels with a bit of an S-curve, then a USM at 2 px by 200-300% (usually). The big scan is in the order of 5700 x 4900 px, so there's a lot to work with from these medium formats. This was from the Fuji rangefinder (6x4.5cm) shot at f/4 (60mm lens) and developed with Perceptol 1+2. For some reason it looks better with Safari than Firefox. I think I need to figure out how FF does color management.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

Thanks Tony:D

Your image still has a B/W film feel to it.. I'm having difficulty getting that out of digital..

Allow me to demonstrate..

Heres a couple of medium format portraits and the scans lack the depth and separation the fiber base prints have.

Theres detail in both the tree and the snow in the print. Gone in a 72 DPI image on a monitor.

There is far more detail in this portraits in the shadow on the fiber base prints.

and the detail on the front of his cap is there but just barely in the print.

It would be nice to have 300 ppi monitors,,,, 72ppi,,, 96ppi, 120ppi,,, regardless,,, lots of room for improvement there.
