If I may: For me, the biggest area that could maybe be improved is the flatness of the space. It seems to me that the three things in the composition i keep looking at are the face (obviously) and then the mic, and then the hand. They're all on almost the same plane in space, and they're all relatively the same size, and in the same focus. I like the three "things." They make a triangle which is so important for composition, and they add the context, but I think something that might help is to create some separation between them. Like maybe maximize your DOF control by zooming to 105 and going wide open at f4. then pull the mic closer to camera and also maybe cheating the hand away from the body a little bit. Then if you focus on the face, you still have the three areas of interest, but the light on the mic would probably be less, pushing it down on the "visual interest" list, and then the hand would be slightly out of focus compared to the face. That might increase the sensation of depth. Foregrounding (the mic) is always awesome. Sorry if that explanation got too long. Obviously I can't do much about the flat space as you suggested.
