I didn't sleep last night, and I shot some photos at sunrise. It was pretty cool!

Cool I wish I had the energy to get up at dawn and go shooting. I hate winter and it is getting so cold here. I love the sharpness of the first photo! Great job as always! Keep those pic's coming as I never get tired of viewing your stuff.:)

Well actually I was up until 4am so I was pretty close but...as I said I don't like the cold and that would mean I would have to get dressed and go drive somewhere LOL!!! I do want to get some shots at dawn down by the water front of the light house as the fog clears. Will have to drag my hubby along tho because there are a lot of not so nice characters that hang around there.
Not a good idea for me to go romping around with 4 grand worth of equipment all alone. Nope not to smart would be the news headlines if I got mugged or something. Shame what this world has become.

The PP in this shot really works. The colors are fantastic. Too bad we don't have autumn colors in Texas. Where I live, trees go from green > brown > dead.

I decided to bring my new 7D along today and had just the Tamron 28-75 and onboard flash. I was not intending to take any keepers just shoot at different ISO's to see if this camera will work for me, shooting concerts.

Anyway..... not one of the high ISO shots but I did use the onboard flash and came up with this. Thought I would do some processing.

Why does it look like all surface blurred? Did you blur it to try to soften the skin?

I told you, I post processed it ;-)a

Actually, mostly removing harsh shadows (dodge and burn) on the face due to the tiny pop up flash, after doing some severe contrast adjustments. There was no intential "blurring" done. She has good skin. I also used 0 sharpening, from RAW to final JPG, on this image. It was done fairly quickly. I need to spend more time on this one.

Love to see the final results when your done. I can't quite make out why but there seems to be something going on in the PP to her cheek by her lip and her hair just above the telephone. Nice shot tho keep working on it and let us see your final edit.

Ya, the right side of her lower cheek was buried in darkness and I did a crappy job, so far, of bringing it back. The shadows were very weird and in some parts extremely deep. Didn't notice the hair... thanks for pointing it out.

A work in progress.
