Congrats, friz! It's a great bag.

Thanks Suzy, and thanks everybody for the great advice. I even think the four divider thing will work for me. I popped the seam in the middle about half way down to allow my 24-70 to go in and out with the hood and without fuss. I think this bag is what I have been looking for.

Hey Friz, nice bag! I have been trying to decide what to get. What all do you have in there. I want one that will fit my XSI with 24-105 attached and 580 ex11 and a few other lens like 55-250 and 60mm macro
and some cables and stuff.

Should be no problem. Shove the insert clear to one side to leave an open space for the camera and lens.

In mine I have; 5D2 w/ grip, 24-70 w/ hood, 17-40, 70-200 2.8 w/ hood, Metz 48, and rocketblower, all in the main compartment. Dont forget there are roomy pockets on each end.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I have found the bag I am going to get. This bag I think will be a great
choice because it can carry everything and even have room left over!
I love the chocolate brown color too! Not a bad price for it either...unless some body knows
any place that sells them lower than B & H.

I think you'll love it QueenChatty. It was bigger than I expected which is why I also got the f-3x. If I'm taking 3 lenses with my gripped T1i plus flash and accessories I can grab the f-3x and easily have room. If I'm taking more than that it's the f-2. They are both awesome. I just wanted a slightly smaller, lighter, and less conspicuous option for some situations where I don't walk to walk in loaded down screaming camera bag. But the larger one is nice when I want to make sure I go prepared. I use them both about equally.

For sure I hear ya on carry a heavy bag of gear. I also have a Canon bag and a lowepro sling. I just wanted one bag to get everything to where ever I go. If I am say camping which we do as much as possible then I can load everything in one bag and bring the sling to go hiking or whatever. My daughter will be happy to hear that I will still use the expensive Lowepro that she paid dearly for lol!!

You'll love it. Get the Post Office Pad (external link), and maybe the Tamrac Bag Harness (the version I have doesn't seem to be made any more) to let you "backpack" it. Domke makes a backpack strap too, but I like my Tamrac one better than either Domke's or LowePro's version.

Thanks I'll look into those things. New gear is always so exciting!

Lucky for you it's dirt cheap. Just over 10 bucks.

yes indeed. I have the pad for my f-3x which is a lil smaller than the bag you went with. Sometimes I put the pad on my F-10 with is a tiny bag. If I go back to use the f-3x without the pad, it's like torture (compared to before)!
