I week with the F-2 and I couldn't be happier. Easy to carry. Fantastic to work out of. Open the top and everything is accessable. Don't need to zip anything up if you are in a hurry. Just grab the strap and go. No more backpack anxiety wondering if you zipped everything up after you swing it onto your back. July 1 I have some ebay bucks coming due and I will get the post office pad.

Update: I have been working out of this bag for a couple of weeks now. Honestly don't know how I did without it. Thanks guys for your guidance. The F-2 is perfect for my needs. Thank you Jon for shamelessly pluging these bags every chance you get. I wouldn't have found myself looking at these if there wasn't so much on this forum about them already. New Domke fanboy here!

I truly think the F2 is the perfect bag to work out of. It works great for a gripped 5D or 1D body, with a 3-4 L primes or zooms, even a couple of flashes.

Between the F2 and f5xb, I'm pretty well covered for anything - full carry or light carry.

Thanks to this thread, I just pulled the trigger on the ruggedwear f2 also - Amazon should have it with my in a couple of days. I'm hoping it'll be enough to handle my gripped 7d with 28-75 f2.8 Tamron attacked, a couple of lenses and a flash - comfortably!

Oh yes the f-2 will handle that and I love my ruggedwear one. If you leave out one lens and the sandwich the f-3x is a great size too. I have them both. I sometimes wish I had 2 bags with a little more size difference but the f-2 is perfect when I want to go prepared and take 4-5 lenses plus flash. The f-3x will easily handle 3 plus the flash. I don't know what I would do without mine either, so easy to work out of!

I had the f3-x recommended to me- but I was looking for something that was equal parts storage at home also, so the f-2 looked like it'll fit my needs a little better :)

I'm heading to London and Paris next Spring, and have been toying with buying something "better" to take on the trip.

After researching and looking and lusting, I've decided there's nothing better than my trusty, old, and slightly worn F-2.
