So I am looking at the Tiffen Merlin steadicam-type stabilizer.
Does the stage(i think that is what it is called) support the use of a focus follower type device?

You cannot be twisting a focus ring thus putting torque on a camera that is sitting on a gimball, you are just going to twist the camera around. Besides, the idea of the Stedicam is to move. Follow focus by moving your FEET (Insert Over Used Photography Quote Here)
