Those with experience using this combo - any issues? I plan to add the lens soon and wanted to double check before buying.
NOT looking for alternatives or advice other than people with experience with this combo.

I am totally new to primes (aside from the nifty) and think the majority of my misses are due to me; not the camera. I think the thing that handicaps the 1D3 the most is the giant size of it's focus points. The problem is the focus point covers such a large area that there is more of a chance for error. Case in point would be trying to focus on the eye and the focus point would cover the eye; and the cheek/eyebrow. 5D3, 5D2, 16-35 2.8L II, 24-70 2.8L, 70-200 2.8L IS, 100 2.8L IS, 300 F4L IS, 50 1.4, 85 1.8, 580 EX 1, 580 EX 2.
