My current set up for weddings is 5D, 1D MK IIN, 17-40, 24-70, 135f/2, and 200 f/2.8. The recent acquisition of the 1DN has made me want to upgrade my 5D to a 1Ds MK II. Do you think it is best to keep my set up the way it is or would it make sense to sell the 5D and 17-40 to get the 1Ds MK II? I rarely ever use the 17-40 even though I love the lens.

Only you can answer if it's a good idea or not.

I personally could not live without an ultrawide. I'd keep it just in those few cases where you really need it, though 24mm on full frame is pretty darn wide itself.

I just don't know how worth it it is to have the 1ds II over the 5D. If it is a huge difference in camera ability then i would say it is worth it

What are you looking to improve? If it's AF then It would be an improvement.

FPS is only a tiny bit faster. I doubt the IQ would be any better (I haven't used a 1DsII)

I'd keep the 5D if I were you

The AF is what I find miserable about the 5D after shooting with my new 1D II
