I made this post in the business section as well, if that is frowned upon i apologize. i feel it is relevant in both sections. My second question in the post is the one that is more relevant for this section.

I recently did a photoshoot for a couple. They are in the process of deciding which prints they would like to buy from me. I received and email saying that they just got engaged and the they would like to use one of my prints on the their announcements as well as there invitations. This is great news to me much more business.

My question is due to my lack of experience with weddings and such. My first question is how much do you charge for wedding invitations and announcements since they will be buying in bulk around 300. I would imagine is would be less than the price one would charge for a print that size, since they are purchasing so many.

The second question is those of you who have designed these sorts of announcements were do you get them done, I currently do all of my printing with WHCC. I am not sure if they do invitations and if they do, are they a good one to get them from.

Thanks

I charge cost plus a service fee for large runs, the service fee based on the time it takes. Maybe $100.

Ok thanks tim, does custom make yours or do you use a specific company. I use WHCC and they have some templates but just to download the templates is $170

I don't do invitations, I was talking about prints to include with them, which is done more with thank you cards. Invitations are usually fancy, hand made things, I leave that to someone who enjoys doing it.

I do wedding invitations and charge 85cents each, no matter the quantity. I design them myself in photoshop and get them printed wherever is having the best deal. Try winkflash.com, they often have 5x7s for 10 cents, and that's the size I use. Then get envelopes in bulk and start doing invitations on a regular basis!

I enjoy being on both sides of the camera and love how the modeling world has helped me to be a better photographer as well.
