They have a rigid disc in the end-cap and I like them so much better than the plastic lens caps but when you take them off to shoot, it's quite a bulky thing to put somewhere. If you're a girl, tucking it in your bra strap will make you look very odd

The "lens cap" that comes with it is vinyl with a rigid disc and a drawstring closure. It's very fiddly to work with in the field and I looked around for quite a while until I found the Optech Hood hat. It was the perfect solution. John
