Just wondering, thought it could be so You can have a higher shutter speed or a different technique, I'm still in the learning curve and wanted to ask. Thank's for the response :)

I did want a higher shutter speed but don't typically like to go above 800 or so when outdoors. I really didn't need to go that high to get a fast shutter speed. Like I said, user error, as I was in a rush!

From my Florida trip last week ...

I am just back from Disney World in Orlando and working on my shots when time permits. I am a new shooter and a real Photoshop rookie so I am open to any and all critiques and comments as I eagerly want to learn and improve !

A few of the Epcot firework show

And my first fireworks composite of Magic Kingdom fireworks over Cinderella's castle ...

I am not 100% happy with this one as my 6 foot tripod failed to shoot over some peoples heads (I got there as early as I could but not early enough) so i will be trying some more work on it with other shots of the castle later in the night when no one was there. However for those shots I moved the tripod so I will need to work on moving and resizing the shot to fit the scale of the fireworks ... I like a challenge !

Thanks for looking.

Yesterday I took this lens with my to make some pictures of my girls while celebrating the coronation of our new king! I really liked using it and also love the results I got with it. Normally I tent to choose my primes over this zoom lens but that just might change in the future especially with outdoor events like this...

I'm finding that the image quality matches my primes if not better (especially with flare issues). However I don't want to get rid of my primes in case I go full frame later. :D
