Sorry to be so late to the party, but this lens is LEGIT!

I had a real bad experience with a couple of Sigma lenses about 15 years ago that kept me from trying them since, but recently I really needed a constant 2.8 zoom lens to shoot my daughter's wedding, and I found one of these at a price that was too good to pass up. Man am I glad I bought it!

On my 50D and 7D, I've had the 17-40L, the 15-85 IS, and now this Sigma. Of the three, this one is my favorite. Fast, sharp and very tight. It has been a pleasure to use and not once have any of my images left me wanting for a sharper lens.

I know all of you know this already, but if anyone is on the fence about this lens, I can tell you I was not a Sigma fan for a long time, but I am now!

Shoot first and ask questions later.

very nice; this might be my most used lens.
Having said that, I'm anxiously awaiting a 17-50 Art or something similar. I'd love to adjust the focus for the camera bodies that only have phase detect AF.
Great lens, for sure!
