I was even luckier to get this shot of Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit (a home run of course) from section 227 with my Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 OS lens, which is obviously not ideal for shooting an MLB game (a telephoto is next on my wish list). Every pitch of the at bat I held the shutter button down and took as many photos as I could. I ended up with this awesome shot. Here is a cropped version and the full photo. Canon T2i, Sigma 17-50mm f/2.8 lens at 50mm, F/5.0, 1/125 sec. Jeter went on to go 5 for 5 and drive in the winning run in the bottom of the 8th....unreal. Canon 5D Mark IV & Mark II, Sigma 35mm f/1.4, Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM, Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM. Canon & Yongnuo Speedlites.

AF is inconsistent. Close-up shots require -3 MA. Farther away shots require -9 MA. gonna send it back for another one. and FYI i'm not on the anti-Sigma bandwagon either. my Sigma30 requires ZERO microadjustment. i have full faith that this is just a dud. i'll keep everyone posted about the next one i receive. Sorry abt that ! the lens has a very low percentage of bad copies , hopefully the replacement is gonna be perfect Facebook

If he can stay healthy he might join Pete and Ty! "Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.
