katodog Goldmember More info | Feb 23, 2012 16:18 | #1356 Just got mine today...and I can't tell if the stabilization is working or not. It doesn't kick when I hit the shutter, although if "On" means it's on all the time...don't know. How solid is the OS on your lenses?? I turn it off and it seems like the view doesn't change as far as vibration or shake, and when it's on a wiggle the lens and don't see the view jump. katodog Goldmember More info | Feb 23, 2012 18:39 | #1358 Well, I wanted to test the lens out today but I got the box at the exact time that I had to leave to go pick up my daughter from school, and then we had to pick up my wife at the foot doctor. All I've been able to do is a few test shots and whatnot, so nothing special from me yet... katodog Goldmember More info | Feb 26, 2012 12:42 | #1363 First non-technical shot with the lens. AI Servo, f/2.8, 50mm, 1/1250. On the computer it looks like focus hit the pole just behind the dog, but that could have been my tracking and the AI Servo that did that (the dog runs pretty fast when she's doing the "I'm going nuts" thing that she does). I think the shot came out pretty good though, can't complain yet. My true test for the lens will be World of Wheels this upcoming weekend, that's when the fun starts...
