The coating on the 85L2 seems to have a "rubbery" feel to it, unlike my other lenses with a metallic texture. Anyone has info on why the coating on the 85L2 is different, and if it wears off more easily than the standard coating? Thanks

85L version 1 and 2 has the same grippy rubber feel on it. its pretty durable. my 85L was made in 98 and it still looks brand new.
