Some action shots of the very clean white Great Egret. I had lots of fun watching this bird hunting, catching, and eating lots of fish from the local pond. #1 is the fast dart into the water. 1/800th Tv Mode, f5.6, 700mm. #2 1/500th, Tv Mode,f6.3, 700mm.

Great splash shot and always nice to see them come up with a decent size fish!

Hi Phil,

Thanks! I lucked out this day with great light and sunshine and a hungry egret who decided to hang around that pond for a few hours. Nice way to kill a few hours practicing with the Wimberley Head and a long lens!

Thanks. I learned quite a bit just observing this graceful hunter stalking its unsuspecting prey. I really enjoyed when it would jump into the air, flap its wings then do a quick 180 turn and dive down on some poor unsuspecting fish!
