Thanks guys! :) Well, I will definitely keep the 85, but I suspect that I won't be using it for quite some time.

And this is my new baby. A giant piece of marvelous glass. ...but S85/1.4 or Hoegaarden? :) Both are awesome. Hoegaarden glass is my souvenir from Prague.

Best,
MC

Hi Coibeo! I had an old finish Sigma 150-500mm for almost a year and it already had missing parts from its coating. On top of that I could never truly clean that finish as it was a dust magnet. The Sigma 50 and 85 I have are both with the new finish which is rubbery, cleans much easier and has a nicer grippy feel when holding it. In my opinion the new finish is more solid and so far is holding up very well for the last 7 months. Another factor is personal preference as to which finish looks better! To the best of my knowledge, and I may be wrong, the Sigma 85 is only available with the new finish since it was first launched.

Kospan,

I really appreciate your reply. That's a shame of lacking knowledge of the lens I bought. I actually just bought the lens 2 days ago and it's on its way here. I was confusing about the new finish after I got a picture from the seller. It looks like it had a old finish instead of the new one which is so nice. Maybe the picture was taken from an iphone, and it has a lot of noise so that made the lens looks like having the old finish. Your information makes me feel so much pleased now. :D

The pic:

I've bought several new lenses in the last couple of months, and sadly neglected this beauty. Grabbed a few today, though.
