Having a weird issue with my Sigma 85 that I got from someone, a year old. I did NOT add those rings in, they come in randomly. Hard to really reproduce effectively.

That's the craziest lens related thing I've ever seen.

Finally had a chance to try out this beauty!

I'm sure most will already know, but wow(!) what a lens.
My copy seems fast, accurate and isn't hunting unless it's really dark.

Regards for now,

Simon

I received it yesterday, I was lucky and I'm super happy with the results, I did some testing today.

Also nice to see new folks in the thread. I got mine 2 years ago almost exactly. A nice Xmas gift (for ourselves:))

They don't look like a lens problem to me: they are perfectly sharp which would indicate them being right on the sensor. Plus the nature of them disappearing and reappearing instantly indicates they are electronic in nature; nothing in the lens could do that.

Have you tried with another lens?

Didn't Sigma have some problems with the peripheral illumination correction on some cameras? Do you have it enabled by any chance? That does not look like a lens issue, more like a software problem.

I had to swap my first copy of the 50 but have had no issues with the 85, it is really good, you'll love it.

Figured it out on my own :)

Thanks for the quick reply, would have saved me a lot of stress at an event I was in last saturday.

Did a photo shoot yesterday in response to an ad on the Tokyo Craigslist. It was a New Years kimono photo shoot. I mostly used my Sigma 85mm, with a few shots using the Samyang 35mm.
