AF is insane. I had just assumed I'd sell mine and get the Sony 1.8, but AF hits pretty much perfectly every time using the cheaper (MC-11) adapter. Sharpness is terrific. Seems silly to sell it now...

Damn, I did that exact thing and sold mine for the Sony 85mm f/1.8. It's good it works well for you, never sell it! haha

Well, it's not exactly a tragedy for you. By all reports the Sony 85 is fantastic--incredibly sharp, fast, beautiful bokeh, not too expensive, and smaller and lighter than the Sig (esp Sig + adapter). Still, I was afraid I'd rupture my credit card trying to "get up to speed" with the Sony, but things like this let me ease into things, slow and easy like...

Yeah I do really like the Sony 85mm and the size/weight is perfect for the IQ. The weight was probably the only thing I didn't like about this Sigma 85mm. Well it looks like this lens will keep you happy for a long time on the Sony :D
