Hello all,

I've been asked to give a quote on what I would charge for a phone book cover shot. I haven't taken the picture yet and if they like the price quote then I'd take the photo of something in the area they cover.

I haven't done anything like this before so not sure where to start. I think I've see some suggest $1000 or $2000 for such a task but what would you suggest?

If things go well I could be called upon by them for future editions as well.

Thanks in advance

I would think you would need the product before you quote a price. Would depend on quality of the photo as well as client satisfaction. Hard to price (much less sell) something you don't have yet.

I would think 4 figures would be about right though, seeing as how your image would be used 10's of thousands of times on phone books.
