You'd think, for $600-700 for the tripod, they could INCLUDE a bag like this.
Can't imagine a bag is more than $10-20 in mfg cost.

That bag is perfectly for travels and you can safely fasten it to your backpack. It is expensive nonetheless.

jeppoy, you're in Korea? lol... i go there often... in fact, i purchased my 24-105 from NamDaeMun shops.

yea, you have to be careful when you buy stuff in Korea... being Korean-American myself, i have to say, i'm disappointed that Korea has a tendency of exporting the better stuff and selling the more crappy and knockoffs to their own market...even by korean companies themselves...

well, atleast it was a very cheap lesson, never buy anything locally in korea. I was attaching the photoclam ballhead to my tripod and the panning base slipped. The panning lock doesn't seem secure even after I locked it really tight, it still moves. I was playing with the Gitzo GT2541 there and I notice it was very flimsy. I hope it that was a knock off because I just bought one online. The funny thing is that you can haggle prices here. I coudln't get my visa debit to work on atm and I had to buy it with my credit card and the adashi refused to sell it with me on the priced we agreed on.

No I'm not a photographer, I just shoot with Canon DSLR with those lenses with red thingy...;)

well, despite it's amazing reputation for knocking off things... you can still buy and find good values on authentic items in there as well...

you just have to be a smarter shopper... don't buy from those electronic megaplexes such as technomart...

as for the credit card thing...

1) if a transaction is in credit card... then it is recorded sales and they have to pay the credit card fee as well as the tax...

2) if it is cash... they sometimes "not report" it... and hence the added incentive to nego.

korea tends to be a cash loving country... lol..

well thats the last time I'm buying something here. I just had to see what the fuss is all about korean ballheads and from what i see I wasn't too impress. I'll just have to play the waiting game, I'm waiting on my Gitzo GT2541 and RRS BH-55 with L plates.

You done a good job of review this tripod.

I have one it is first rate ...my only word of caution the leg can totally unscrew and I have just lost one in a large forest as I didn't realise this and carried the tripod on my back and friction must have kept turning the leg until it fell off without me hearing it ...:-(
