Which should I meter, the black dress or the white background? the shoot will be indoors with white flourescent light. Is this the time I should bring a Gray card to get accurate exposure?

What type of metering? Spot or evaluative?

For those who has experience, please advise. Thank you!

Spot meter off your grey card and set your exposure in manual. You can do a custom WB using the grey card but I'd still shoot in raw in case its not quite right. This is of course assuming the light is uniform throughout the shoot.

Thanks Mike. thats what I had in mind (spot metering off a gray card). I just need confirmation from someone else. God bless.
