Just a couple non music action shots from my first time out with the 135L. Her face was really red, so i just desaturated the reds which kind of left her colorless - I'm not sure what your thoughts might be on that. I will share some photos from the bands in the Music section. Thanks for looking.

I think the first photo looks as if the highlights got blown (maybe in the red channel only) and as such her face looks a little hot. Just out of interest, have you tried a full B&W conversion on the photo?

Personally I would have preferred the people in front of her who are silhouetted to not be there, or at least to not be as prominent in the photo.

Also, maybe I have a rude mind but I am a little distracted by what she's pouring :o

The second photo looks too blurry... you were shooting in very challenging situations and I doubt you'd get a clearer shot unless you used a tripod next time.

I'm also wondering why there's an iphone (or similar) charging in the photo?

yeah, i'm not quite sure what the soundboard guy could be using that phone for, either.

i tried to take your advise and try a b&w conversion of the first. i'm struggling to come up with anything more compelling. her face isn't blown, but there are clipped highlights all around her head. :p

If it's a concert, the iPod that's plugged in there is for music during band set changes and after the show is over

As examples of the cappability of the 135L, these don't really fulfil the brief. However I do like the second.

I'm just going to throw up an alternate shot of the first one unprocessed just to see if you think it might have a little more potential. my main reasoning for choosing the first one was because you could see the neck of the liquor bottle she was pouring.. thoughts?

well, that last edit was RAW straight out of camera... perhaps that will make you want the lens more. haha.
