i loved my 1dmk2 and love my 1dmk2N even more. it sounds silly to jump **** to the N model just based on the LCD screen, but i'm telling you, I can actually see the shot I took, and it makes all the difference. Now i can actually tell if i've got the shot or not. Now if only it did iso 3200 like the 5d classic then i'd be a happy camper. The only reason i'd EVER want another camera would be for hi iso (wedding 5dmk2 stuff) and that's it. I love the a/f, i love the shutter, i love the menu system, i love the build, i love everything else...and i guess it wouldn't hurt if it had the auto shake system like the 40d and newer bodies too...it does gobble dust

better LCD, picture styles, bigger buffer, reworked UI, basically.

from another post ::

It has a much better brighter screen (twice the backlit leds of the mk2), it's also bigger, has a wider viewing angle vertically & horizontally, all in all much much clearer and easier to judge sharpness on.

Magnified view of any selected AF point instantly and on playback

Bigger, faster buffer - more shots and quicker

6 Picture styles + 3 of your own - we take them for granted but they make a big difference, remember not having them! DPP compatible.

ISO in the viewfinder (also while you change it), which is very handy

Easier to change between folders and between CF & SD cards

customisable file names - very handy for organising as you go

Raw + Jpeg can be recorded to either CF / SD card or both together as a backup measure

Interchangable focusing screen, compatible with the super precision matte EcS

200K shutter life
